We remember when we were first introduced to the Volvo XC90 in Baltimore years past when Volvo was not owned by Ford or Chinese owners.  That was when Volvo was sponsoring some major sailing races. The vehicle then and now is terrific. The newest facelift looks good and we cannot wait to test drive one on the North American roads.

Volvo XC90 has been on the market for ten years now with very little changes over the years. For the 3012 model year, this popular SUV gets body-color bumpers, side skirts, wheel arches, a new bumper bar, “silk matte” mirrors and restyled 18-inch alloy wheels.

The XC90 R- Design features a monotone exterior and new LED daytime running lights plus 19- inch alloy wheels.

Interior changes are also very small and include “sanded silver” aluminum trim, white instrumentation lighting and a leather strap on the tailgate. Premier Plus and Platinum models get Sovereign leather seats, red wood trim and unique floor mats.

US-spec models are powered by a 3.2-liter six-cylinder engine with 240 hp and 236 lb-ft of torque. This gasoline engine is connected to a six-speed automatic transmission. All-wheel drive system is optional.

Pricing for the XC90 facelifts we understand starts at $39,500.

  1. The XC90 is one of my favorite cars. Here in Australia it has been the best selling 7 Seater SUV for five years in a row. Volvo really did a great job with this car.
